Sorry for the necro bump, but I just wanted to make sure I understood Tommud correctly . For a 3 inch lift, for the front. Get OME 2927 and ome front shock as listed? I am not a100% sure what else I need. Thanks jw
Is 3 inch mandatory over 2.5 ?
If you think that 1/2 inch will make a huge difference then use 927 front springs and 1/4 inch of clevis lift
you now have 3 inches of lift
For the rear add one more upper isolator per side and the correct length shocks
Next look into the jeepinbyal upper control arms, great upgrade since you are putting them at an angle stock UCA will wear out quicker
Next you'll be thinking I just have to have the largest tires I can install on there so figure in the cost of regearing to 4.10s

I currently have a Rough Country lift in the rear and a leveling kit for the front. I know its not the best out there, but it got me going.It worked to get me out into the backwoods and get the maple syrup taps out. That said i would like to keep my three inches. So i am planning on upgrading the front suspension as soon as i can afford it. thats why I was asking about the 3 inches. IO currently have 245- 70-17s on the Liberty. Would you still recommend regrearing for 4.10? Sorry, i am still new to auto work, and i am teaching myself as i go. Thanks!

245-70-16s or 17s ? If 245-70-16s then no to regearing
As far as 3 inches are you sure, if stock springs and spacer doubt it
Measure left front on level ground , middle of the wheel ( hub ) to bottom of flare and report back

So you have two inches of lift currently then
New stock height is 19 inches in front
so even with the OME 927s alone you would be 1/2 higher than you are now in front
Got ya on the 245-70-17s , they are 30.5 inches tall so even 2.5 inches of lift will work
I run the same height tire( but 265-70-16 ) on the 03 with 2.5 inches of lift and 4.10 gearing

One last question as long as we are talking suspension, would you recommend that I replace the lower control arms in the front as well. I know eventually I need to replace the entire front end as it’s all stock. I would rather only have to rip this apart once. Thanks!

Are the bushings worn out in the lower control arms ?
How many miles are on yours ?
Also do you run the winch up front all the time , steel cable or syn ?

It has a 130,000 miles, the bushings are ok. I just bought the winch with steel cabling I just need to wait for the metal shop to cut and bend the parts for the bracket I am making.

OK, just thinking if you are going to have a full bumper, winch with steel line etc you would need to move up to OME 790 front springs
I'd switch out that line for synthetic to save weight

Has anyone used this RRO’s strut spacer with OME 927/948 plus a 3/8 Clevis lift? Is it even doable?

I would rather do everything at once, but I’m not sure if it’s too much or not.

I would not, the holes are not drilled right plus they would give you over 3/4 of an inch height, just do a clevis lift for free , get 3/4 of an inch that way and be done,

That’s my plan after I get the front suspension and my rocker panels replaced. Front suspension doesn’t seem too bad, though I am dreading replacing the inner rockers!

Suspension is shocks and springs in front with teraflex bumpstops
rear is springs and shocks , plus two hockey pucks bolted down to the lower spring perch
struts are on cars that do not have upper control arms, we have coilover shocks in front
of course use longer shocks in the rear either OME 132Ls or Bilstein for 99-04 Dodge Dakota club 4X4 or 24-185660 Bilsteins

OME coils 170 or so for two
Shockwarehouse has Bilstein 24-139168 for 116.00 each
hopefully get enough to do both ends
If not the front is going to be like wearing a great pair of Nikes and the rear will be like wearing dollar store flip flops

Tom is correct, we have coil overs, however the rest of the world calls them struts. I think it is because of the way they mount in the clevis is strutish. So when looking for front shocks, they will call them struts. I tried to argue this point with 4wp as they had a good deal on bilstein when you buy 4 shocks, but they insisted I had struts in front, so I gave shockwarehouse my money instead.
