So thinking of sourcing some factory skids for my kj, pros/cons of the stock stuff? Or suggestions for aftermarket ones? Gotta be budget friendly

As long as you do not go over big rocks etc, they will work
On the 03 and 04 I have a mixture of Kilby, JBA's Skid Row , etc
all way heavier than stock and can bounce over anything
So all depends on how you are going to use yours

Pros: fitment, not many other options
Cons: cost

Another con, if you have an early model the transmission skid wont bolt up. But it can be easily modified to bolt up. But you didnt list what year you have.
