so what was broken in it, and do you have the failed bits to take pictures?
not that I've had anyone due that type of work on anything I've owned in a LONG time, but I always leave the instruction of, I want every piece you took off that's NOT going back on, in a box to be given to me. especially anything that has seals being replaced, I want to see the old ones. it keeps 'em honest.

No, I didn't. Probably should have though; but it's a reputable shop... (I know 'famous last words)

going to use the tap-a-fuse and the switch, to come up with a reversable way to disable ABS (Fuse 14) when I need it out of the way.

Sota, check out Scar0’s write up on LOST so you don’t have to re-invent the wheel. His Dodge Nitro is basically the same vehicle as my Liberty KK. Anyhow, I bet you could adapt this to your KJ using the wiring diagram you found.

Picking up my liberty from the local transmission shop today!

The 42RLE got a complete overhaul along with the updates made to the transmission after 2007, to alleviate the transmissions inherent problems.

All new internals and a brand new torque converter and updated valve body.

FINALLY solved my "Rumble strips at 40-45 MPH" issue.

Cut the roof of my Jeep and went joyriding with kids and a dog!

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

that hurts to watch.
all I can think of is, I could have used that good roof skin with sunroof, to retrofit into mine. :(

I thought about going after the bigger fuses, but I think by just "unplugging" fuse 14 under the dash, it'll cut the system off.
Ok, interesting! I didn’t realize the KJ had under dash fuses. That makes it much easier to do your ABS mod. The KK only has the under hood fuse box (totally integrated power module or TIPM) so everything would have to be done there.

Took the liberty through town today.

We got over a foot of snow and the city plow response was SLOW.

So seemed like a good excuse to "Break in" libbys new transmission and test out the 4X4 for the first time. All went well and I never knew these little things RIP through the snow!

Tomorrow I install all the little items the girlfriend got for the car for Christmas. New radio, seat covers, phone charger, etc.

We took the jeep on our Christmas gathering loop on Thursday and got all of our events taken care of. The jeep got a break yesterday, and today’s looking the same.

Ordering parts. I got to get a trans filter and drain and fill that. No idea if and when it was ever done.

And oil. And filter.

Who knows which at filter is the one to use? From moparwholesaleparts. But which one?

According to the factory part manual, the 08 KK transmission filter for the 4 speed automatic is: 52852913AB
