I just wish I would've been able to buy one sooner. Honestly wasn't able to afford this when 4 ****** kj's were more plentiful. Now its going to cost me more than it would have if I could've found one in a junk yard many years ago... I'm just burnt out on the kj struggling to maintain speed so its time to do something. Its a shame that after swapping to 4.10 gears, its not much better off than the 2002 kj with the 45rfe...

And yeah, I could have someone help me unload it but idk when the truck would roll in needing to be unloaded. Not many people can be on call like that.

The dispatcher from the freight company will call you to schedule an appointment to drop it off.

I've had a couple of front and rears shipped in to me for other customers
Freight Company called and sit up a time, both had drop gates so that worked and backed right up to garage door each time, simple
I built a stand for the rear to sit on with 8 inch tall tires , two that swivel and can roll them pretty easily anywhere , even across gravel , works well , easy to move them

Wanted to follow up. The yukon gears are back in stock on amazon at $436 but I found the dana spicer gears in stock at just differentials for $468, so I went ahead and ordered the dana gears for the dana30a, nitro gears for the 8.25, and while I was at it I ordered a truetrac for the rear diff. Sure wish I wouldve done this years ago. Besides the misery of struggling to maintain the speed limit, I wouldve gotten back almost half the cost of the gears if it gets just 3 more mpg.... Either way, the guy at JD said they only had 2 sets in stock and I got one of them, so if you want the dana gears you may want to order them.

For whatever reason, even though the yukon gears are in stock on amazon, the gears I bought for $309 have not shipped. Not decided if Im going to cancel that order or not, may want to have an extra set of 4.10 gears for the front diff.

Still some good 4 cylinders out there.
Went and looked at one yesterday, been sitting in a heated garage since 2007
on;y 45,000 miles, hit a Deer back then, was always going to repair it but never did
needs hood, grill, core support, windshield, and fan from the looks of it , easy fix,
soon as I can clear out some room coming home with it
Found out about it while fueling up yesterday, the old guy said I have one of those and from there......................;)

Since I dont have that sortve luck, I'm stuck with just buying them. I wanted the limited slip anyway so I wouldve been taking the rear end completely apart. Would be nice to not need to mess with the front though! Besides trying to figure out the pinion depth, the side adjusters make the back lash easy to set on the 8.25.

So I decided NOT to cancel my order on amazon for the 'yukon' dana30a gears.... Just received them today and even though they were in styrofoam, they had cardboard dust all over them.... At first I was worried it was rust or something but upon closer inspection, theyre dana gears! Yukon literally unboxed dana gears and put them in yukon packaging... The other dana gears I got were in dana cardboard boxes and had cardboard dust all over them... So I got new dana gears for $310 shipped. Dont need them at all, but since Tom hoards dana 4.10's I guess I will too!

The KJ's unfortunately never had the following that other Jeeps have. Even the ZJ's still have a serious following on forums and lots of aftermarket parts.
