the firewall rubber grommet..I think this is it?

that white ring is a snap over lock to keep that insulation sheet in place.

If you are tying to run wires,just run them through the main harness grommet.
That's how I ran wires.

Just above the white circle is the grommet. Don't drill it or use anything sharp. I used a bent over hangerwire. Taped up with a piece of wire to draw the other wires through.

Another member said there's another grommet above the wiring grommet.

Yes I am going to run wires.
Gyro,the main harness grommet...you mean just above the white ring,where the rubber is?

Poked coat hanger through grommet.
Only went in a little...tried to see it poke through from other side....looked and looked and could not see it.Too much in the way...

My faded old memory thinks it's on the fender side of the master cylinder. I'll check later when I'm in my shop.

If you look at the master cylinder from the front of your jeep the grommet is at 4 or 5 o-clock on the brake booster. Follow the fat bunch of wires from the relay/fuse box along the inside of the fender to the firewall.
