I’m interested in this too. I have a 42” curved light bar waiting for me to install it.
No whistling thank you jeep gods. I think it may have to do with the placement. Maybe also the luggage rack behind it or maybe because it’s curved. But I also didn’t use the stock roof mounts it came with. I ordered the mounts the go under the weather stripping by the door. They were actually brackets for a 1999-06 gmc/Silverado and they are for a 52in curved bar. But 42in is what fits on my Jeep

I haven’t taken it on the highway yet but so far under 40mph no. I found a really awesome website that sells covers for light bars but they don’t make them for curved ones. https://aeroxindustries.com/collect...YxvD_BwE#book/5e987a2db27a2f9f07966828/page/2
I’ll let you know later on tight of it whistles
Hood glare and dust coming up are the biggest issues with them mounted way forwards
Had one on a rack that extended up to the windshield, worthless

Did the puddle lights tonite in my 06.

what a difference!

it was easy on the driver’s side. Passenger was a bit of struggle, mainly trying to free up that wire.

About 20 minutes snd all done.

I started the A/C compressor swap tonight. I got the old one out and found the MAP sensor was broken. It looked like it had been glued back together before. I also got a new accumulator and tube (the one that goes between the evaporator and condenser) in a kit. Well, I could not get the tube's quick connect fitting undone. I got a QD kit, and still nothing. So, I waved the white flag tonight. I got the accumulator oiled and installed, the old compressor is gone, and the open holes are plugged for the night. I will try that fitting again tomorrow, but if it isn't going to be nice, I won't be either!

The new A/C compressor has been installed. That fitting would not play nice, so I introduced it to Mr. Dremel.I very carefully used a cut-off disc and cut through the fitting's hood and spring. Then, I peeled the hood back and pulled everything off.

I dropped the heep off at the shop this morning to have it leak tested and filled. The tech said it passed with flying colors, well, I guess no colors since no dye leaked out!

I bought this thing in Nov. ‘18, and today is the first time I have been able to use the A/C. I am ecstatic!!

Took some back roads in Montana including a ferry, found a mud puddle and having a good time with the family!

Heck some would of ran them another 100,000 miles and continued to say it ran great ! :)
I was curious to see how the 04 looked vs what I pulled from the 06 / supposed 80k engine. On the 06, they replaced a few coils with no name stuff, but who’da thought, on an engine transplant, that they didn’t put a fresh set of plugs in. At least they were stock.
I’m sure on the 04 at 96K that these were likely the originals. My sil bought it used about 10 years ago and did nothing but oil changes to it.

I put about 500mi on her today driving down to St. Paul and back. The A/C was on full blast the whole way down, and it didn’t skip a beat!

The dog got sick on the way home and had some liquid poo on the floor. Weathertech’s saved the day.

I don't recognize the part, but aren't green o-rings used in the A/C system and maybe power steering?

Made a trip to my favorite bone yard today.

few little bits I needed. Found a chopped engine harness and sourced 3 coil plugs. i’ve got 2 that are mashed up. Back hatch trim piece that was cracked in 2 places, a multifunction switch to try and run off my dimmer high code and an oem jack kit. 50 bucks and 2 hours out in the 90 degree heat. My bone yard guy just laughs and says - you know where they are!
