Hi all, new here today, I am mostly a Ford guy and own a 67 Mustang but my step son is a Mopar die hard. Just brought my first Jeep, it is for the wife and it is a 2004 Liberty 3.7 4x4. I like it so much I am looking for one for myself (04 to 07) I want to post pics but it will not allow me saying saying they are too big, how do you post pics? and I am not using photobucket because they suck.

Welcome to the forum. Looks very clean, how many miles on it?

Thank you, yes it is very clean, pics do not do it justice, it is like new out side and in but there is some rust on the bottom of the drivers door and passenger rear door and sills which seems to be common with these. It has 192000 miles but runs really nice, has new tires, very tight steering and great AC, paid $3500 for it

Hey welcome! Good looking Jeep. I had some ding **** on a Facebook Jeep club try to tell me "your liberty has more in common with a mustang than it does with a Wrangler TJ" so maybe your Ford experience will be helpful...

Thank you, I think it has the sel trac meaning it is not full time 4x4 and I do not have a manual for it, looking for a free one where I do not have to sign up and pay for it. I will be going to a near by town soon and if it is still available I will be looking at this one for a $1000, needs work on AC, one window reg, front bumper and grill but it has 176k ,less miles then the 04 we have now. Body looks Ok but a closer look will not hurt.

Command Trac does not have full time, made for slippery surfaces only. Selec-Trac Does have full time.
Look for your owners manual in secret location! ;) Drop down the glove box, you may have one already & did not know it..

Sounds like you have the build sheet listing all the options then & price cool. Nice find!
If you get the other jeep you can use the free online build sheet getter from post # 5 above.

Well I ended up getting the Blue one, AC not working because there is no clutch and pulley on AC compressor and they fitted a shorter belt to compensate. Window motor still works down but not up, probably a broken tube? has a nice Pioneer radio in it but had to fit a antenna lead in to get the stations. Drove it home 45 miles and drove nice but no cruise control...bummer! it does have power locks and key-less entry so I will do the Evic mod later.

Manual in the glove box also had the build sheet and pricing so that was a bonus. I have already stripped down the front to assessed the damage and have ordered all the parts needed mostly off E-bay and some off Rock Auto.....Rock Auto shipping is out rages, damage pics coming soon. Thanks for reading ...Craigo

Here is the damage, I am cutting out the sub frame and putting a new one on.No damage to the coolers.

This will make for an interesting thread as well. Nice to hear you got the manual & build sheet, and parts coming.
The window issue, going to have to take the interior door panel off. (there are videos online showing how to remove panel & the potential "window regulator" problem)
Look forward to more about the rebuild & more photos.

Thanks and yes I plan to document the repair process as I have only found one u-tube vid on it so far and since this is maybe a common damage area it might be good to do one here, should I make a new thread on the KJ general discussion forum for it? All the parts will be here by the 23rd and I have a week off work at the end of the month to do it.

Sure. For any new content Create a new post in KJ Section.
You could then in the new thread mention, also see the "introduction post" & include a link from here, into the new post.

Welcome aboard. I missed the '05 I had so much, until rust had it's evil ways with it, that I just had to buy another.
