Has anyone local firmed up some plans to go to either Tuttle or the Rocks? Like I said in my previous post I haven't been to either, but would love to go. Ive got my second kid due soon and won't be able to go out playing for a little while. Or if anyone local has some close place to do a short trip in the mud or something.

Still have not made it yet but when I get my parts switched to the new libby I need to try it out before the trip to Moab. Sometime in April.

Not certain what the commute is between KC and Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch in MO is... we went with kskj and MtnLover last spring to that park, and it's a lot of fun. :)

jramey - There really isn't anywhere in, or around KC to wheel at. There are some places, but the legality of those places remains in question. I could give you the name of some people in the area that go to these places on a regular basis, if you feel like linking up with other Jeep owners, even though they may not have KJ or KK's.

Hi all, I'm in Junction City, KS. I went out to the Tuttle Creek Off road park earlier this year. My KJ is not lifted yet and there was still snow on the ground (it was 55 degrees though). We had 8 vehicles, two with 6" lift pickups and they were stuck before I even got down the hill to the first open area. Seeing as how it is the only off road park for at least 100 miles, it has been extremely over used. If you are careful and avoid the holes with water that you can not tell how deep they are, it can provide for some fun. Make sure you go with a few buddies if you do. Personally, I do my off-roading on post at Fort Riley. Same thing applies there too, never go alone and a lift is very helpful.

As for Tuttle Creek ORV, do a google search and look at the images, then if you think your KJ can handle that type of punishment or you just have deep pockets then go for it.

Have you been to Kansas Rocks offroad park? Not sure if that is close to you or not. I hear it's a pretty decent park.
