Thanks, sota - I know and that is my plan for the weekend, which is supposed to be sunny and pleasant. It's freaking raining again here.

I'm still pissed. Best part? My husband actually put the Husky liners back in and he and my daughter drove it around on Wednesday. And left the liners in place. When I got home yesterday, I moved it into the sun, opened up everything and put the liners on the back seats - and found that the front carpets were still freaking damp.

I can't kill him, right????

plan on also locating any electrical connector under the carpeting, blowing it clear of moisture, and greasing the contacts.
I hate to say it, but you're in for a bunch of not fun days, hopefully doing enough to prevent mold, and worse, random electrical issues from cropping up months or years from now.

You're just making me happier and happier...though I did already know that. I have a new can of electrical contact cleaner and a new tube of dielectric grease on hand. And a Bissell Little Green portable carpet cleaner (hand-held wand) with lots of carpet cleaner solution. I just didn't want to do all that - and, actually, I don't think I should. I think he should, but that's probably not going to happen.

I hope you are able to get it clean & dry with your portable carpet cleaner.
When my jeep had the a pillar water leak on passenger side, the carpet was getting a bit ripe.
I ended up paying an auto detailer to lift carpet and use his smell good, pro chemicals, steam extractor.
I think he used baking soda as a neutralizer on the floor, while carpet was up.
Luckily I fixed the leak and the jeep was clean and odor free.
Possibly you may want to save yourself the work & send hubby the professional cleaning bill ! :)

Oh, he’ll pay for it, one way or the other...

As soon as the good carwash place just south of us opens back up, they’ll detail the Jeep for me.

Most I ever got was over 90,000 out of a set of Duratracs, could not wait for them to wear out, not because they were bad , just was tired of them LOL
Most all of my tires are gone after 2 years, ( or before ) of course I drive a lot, always have
The 265-70-16s on my small trailer ( 5x8 ) still look brand new but are getting replaced very soon since they are 5 years old
driving on 10 year old tires is just dangerous

My tires (tyres for Bill ;) ) are four years old and have 17,000 miles on them. That is with a five-tire rotation. I can see getting ten years easily.

Between the rough roads, and the 75 mph speed limits, my tires may last a couple years but usually are nearly slick when I'm done. Having ATs doesn't help, but I'm not getting commercial highway tires anytime soon. I'd like to be able to get out of my driveway if it storms.

Replaced my rear lower control arms today. Tried replacing the upper with the Iron Rock Off-road upper and couldn’t get the old one out, so it looks like I get to have a LOT more fun tomorrow tearing the Jeep apart to figure out how to fix what went wrong.

Rubber deteriates with age so timing belts, serpentine belts, hoses and tires/tyres should be replaced after about 7 years max.

I do this with my timing belt and tires as they are critical and have a new serpentine belt that I am too lazy to change at the moment!

Taking a bit of a chance with my hoses though!o_O

(Friday) Installed a new head unit to replace the one that never really worked right for four years. (Hey, at least you can't say I'm a quitter....)

Huge improvement. :)

I really like my double din head unit with Apple Car Play. I’ve sorely missed it since I’ve been driving my wife’s civic for the past couple months.
