265/75 or 265/70?

I have the JBA 4" lift and regeared to 4:10s. I've pounded the pinch weld over. I have the TJ Moab wheels. I'm currently running 245/75 Duratracs and will get another set of Duratracs. I am now in need of new tires as a nail punctured the sidewall on one of mine. They probably still had some reasonable life life but were pretty old so I'm going to purchase a new set. Which size would be a better fit?

Honest opinion ?
I have the 4 inch JBA on the 04 with Moabs and 265-75-16s
I also have the 2.5 inch JBA on the 03 with 265-70-16s and Moabs
Both regeared to 4.10s
While I like the 04 , to be honst the 03 is better on and off road
4.10s and 31s ( 265-70-16s ) just is the right combo as far as on the road drivability , handling, power and performance
4.10s and 32s, just not quite enough low end there, always wanted to go 4.56s
Plus 265-70-16s fill out the 8 inch wide Moabs better IMO
and unless you get down and measure most will not notice any difference between a 30.6 inch tall tire and a 31.6 one
These are just opinions on this fool
On the 04 I got over 95,000 miles out of the first set of 265-75-16 Duratracs, great tires until they get worn down
Oh and over 100,000 miles at 4 plus inches and 265-75-16s, over 55,000 on 265-70-16s and 4.10s so a little experience in the two

If you’d rather put off this decision, I have an extra 245/75R16 Duratrac that was my spare tire since 2018 and never saw pavement. (I got it when someone sideswiped a tire and blew out the sidewall.) Now I’m using BFG KO2’s and would love to sell this extra Duratrac I have sitting in my basement. It’s load range C and has a build date of the 16th week of 2017. Any interest? I’d be happy to send it to you for a reasonable price. Please PM me if interested.

I’ll be shopping for tires soon for my 2.5 inch one lifted kJ, thinking of 255s, also thinking MTs vs ATs because it’s a off road toy and not a daily driver. BFG’s, Firestone’s, Nitto’s, any and all opions welcome

255-75 is too big to be workable. Do you mean 255-70-16? Height wise it isn’t much different from a 245-75-16, but it’s wider by about an inch. This will not work unless you’re running wheel spacers or wheels with more offset, because the inner sidewall will rub against your ball joints. I run 245-75-16’s and have almost no room to go any wider on the stock rims. This is a separate issue from any wheel well rubbing you might get while turning or flexing.
