Prices per switch position are comparable. The 6 uses a traditional relay setup and could handle more power. The 8 uses IGTs and is maximum current limited.

I actually have a relay box like in the first one already, as I was going to roll my own with one, but I love the neatness of the wiring that kit gives you.

I have Loctite Extend here, but a guy on another forum recommended Corroseal, so I've been giving that a try. It smells like Elmer's glue, but it seems to work pretty well.

also I think I'm leaning towards 6-switch version. I like the idea of relays instead of IGTs for switching.

one of the biggest problems I see is, I'd like to mount that on the driver's side, but there's really no room there. I guess if the control line is long enough to reach the passenger side, I could put it there. I'll need to relocate the plow control module though.

actually looking more closely at the picture, I think the bottom cover with the wire cutout comes off, and could be installed in the other direction.

That 8 position bracket is just a tick over 8.5" wide. Says to me I could do 2 of those switch panels easily.

I usually use it on my door panels and in the engine bay. I don't mind flat black from rustoelum RR on the inside of my door panels, but I liked the idea of glossy. I only had a chance to do one coat yesterday of the Extend, and didn't notice it covering like the RR does, but the can was ~40F and it was cold out, so maybe I'll wait to a warm day and keep the can inside.

On the Loctite Extend, I use the bottle where you paint it on with a brush. I've never had any luck with the rattle can version.

from engine bay, under cowl, remove the moulding up door frame, wiring runs under it up to top side, when I ran mine had less than 1/8 of inch of wiring showing

So all last year I took on the major project and after dropping a remanufactured engine in, rebuilt the trans, installed new front driveshaft, refurbished the rear driveshaft and axle, new upper and lower control arms front and rear, all new links/bushings/ball joints, brake rotors/calipers/pads/drums/shoes, new front and rear stainless brake lines, new parking brake cables, complete new cooling system, PCM, TCU, BCM, coil packs, fuel injectors, every sensor, complete new exhaust including cats from 1 year prior, but now new O2 sensors, LED headlight conversion, rocker panels and a partridge in a pear tree.....(big inhale), I was having the windshield replace so by golly what better time then to Raptor Liner the whole thing. The inside is totally clean too, but the outside is just sexy.

Returned the old front calipers for the core charge and bought rear pads and rotors. They're actually worse than the fronts were...

I need brakes now.

That's what threw me as well. There's no rattle in the can. Didn't realize it came in a regular liquid.
