03 and 04 both get about 21-22 on the road,
04 at 75 plus , lifted 4.5 inches, 4.10s , 32s aftermarket front , rear bumpers, aftermarket heavy skids etc averaged 22 across Pa
03 lifted does about the same
05 averaged 21 down through WVa, Va and NC and back yesterday at 75-80
never measure around town since nearest town is only 1/2 mile long LOL

Tom’s right for a KJ or KK that hasn’t been modified or one that has but was also regeared to run with the larger tires.

My unregeared KK with 31’s and a 4” lift gets 8-12 mpg in the city and about 17.5 on the highway. I can coax 20 mpg following trucks on long trips on the interstate.

Regearing is on my to-do list. I’ve already identified the shop I’m going to use, but it’ll cost me about $2300 or about $3000 if I put in a TrueTrac at the same time. This Is a lot but it is good for the mid Atlantic/ northeast. In the Midwest, it would no doubt be less expensive to have the same work done.

For me this would translate to about 175 miles per tank city, 250 highway. Roughly.

If my memory is correct the 05-07 had a 20.5 gallon tank. I know my 05 had the 20.5. The 02-03 had an 18.5 gallon tank and I think the 04 had a 19.5, Weird isn't it. Must be a Jeep thing.

KKs were all 19.5 I believe.

?????????????????
who the heck cares how big your gas tank is?
If you want gas mileage figures I can see but saying I can go X number of miles in mine tells me nothing at all, like mentioned, size of tank etc
Plus I never go below 1/2 tank or so in most cases , too ******* the fuel pump if you run them down close to empty.

I was getting about 20-21 mpg in my 05. That would be around 410 per tank. I usually filled up at a bit over 350.

My 02 was lucky to get 16-17 mpg same route. I would usually fill up around 250 in that one.

Tom is right BTW. ;) As usual.

With lift, winch, skids, rockrails and bigger tires (not regeared) I can get 18-19...about 300-320 miles a tank for highway.
