This Christmas is going to suck for several people I know, for similar reasons. :(

Very sorry to hear about your stepfather, Tom. It's never easy to lose a parent, and it sounds like he was a really good one.

My rear blinkers started to be less than reliable about a month ago. Every once in a while one or the other would stop working. A good slap on the tail light assembly normally brought them back...until I went over a few bumps.

Today the weather was nice so I took them out and cleaned the terminals. The passengers side however refused to get any better.
I went to the two autoparts store nearby, but each of them only wanted to sell me a tail light socket, (two locking tabs) whereas I needed three locking tabs.

So I came home and found the Duralast part I needed (1904) and ordered it for pickup later in the day.
After I put it in the jeep is back in form and I can take both left hand and right hand turns!

---the only bad part is that the tail light sockets they want to sell me were $11 and the one I needed was $32.

I had a similar taillight issue a month or so ago. Went to the auto parts store and had to search for ages for bulbs. I wanted to be sure I was getting the right ones so I went out to take the old one out. It looked OK and as soon as I touched it it came on. Been OK ever since. We'll see how long that lasts.

Make sure those socket contacts inside are corrosion free /clean.
I had my L rear out 2 days ago, sprayed inside with fluid film, then compressed air. New bulb, all is good now.

Thanks TC, Cleaning all the contacts was the first "go round" at a fix. That did seem to solve the drivers side, but the passengers side was just more stubborn. Honestly I can see how the socket would go bad, I'm just glad replacing it solved the trouble.

I have seen a lot of posts where lamps stop working.
The bulbs would get hot and the contacts inside the socket would melt themselves down into the plastic and out of touch!

The Export models such as I have use completely different bulb types so I have not had any problems!

got some new seat covers for xmas and finally got them on.

They are Carhart material and made by Covercraft.

They fit really well and the material is really heavy.

Cannot recommend them enough.

I've never bought anything from Carhartt that didn't look and feel like it would last forever.
