As- over elbows trying to get to the heater core and blend door motor. Doing both since I am there. Everything is free except the harness. Thought I would simply take the bolt out of the center of the block and unplug it. Bolts are free and I am not smart enough to get it unplugged. I dont see any tabs to press.
What am missing ?

Thank you

Got the accuator out it does not function. Still need to get dash further from cowl to reach the corners of heater core tabs. The harness in the photo is what is still holding things too tight. Bolts are loose but the plug ins will not come off. Cant figure out what I am missing

kind of embarrassed but there of course there are tab. Very small right inside the cover.I had my mind set that they would be finger press type tabs and they are not. This heater core deal is a PITA. I have the dash and hvac box strung all over. If it works after this I will be surprised.
Have the core in but blend door accuator will not be here until tomorrow. Neither parts store had one in stock. The blend door moves freely and is not broken after taking out the old accuator .

My next question is do i just rotate the door to seat the accuator as it comes out of the box or does the door need to be in a certain position
?

At a NAPA training a few months ago we were shown a Chrysler door actuator module as part of a diagnostics class. My understanding was it does a learn of it's position on startup. Finding either end of travel and then going to where it is set for.

And thanks for the heads up on the tabs. I have to undo mine to find why I have no low beams and yes it is a godforsakenuglyasbleep place to squirm into. I could never get in there without the vehicle on a lift.

Had to remove wiring harnesses from my fuse block when I replaced the coil overs. What a pain in the a-- that was!
