cold air intake or drop in Kn Filters Info

A little side note after installing these - to get full benefit of cold air intake or K&N drop in filter - disconnect battery then reconnect it - the computer will learn about filter.

You know that a CAI does nothing for any performance or gas mileage , right ?
Stock air box flows better, plus a K&N does good on race type vehicle but lets in more fine dirt particles than a regular NAPA GOLD air filter
sorry , not slamming you, many make the same mistake ( or have over the years )

I have used k&n filters for over 20 years and am very happy with them. Plus you only have to buy one for the life of your car.

I think if these were so good, they would be OEM and not something a manufacturer put out TSB's on

Just trying to help out a fellow Liberty owner is all
I have been working on these Libertys since 2003, been 75-80 in my garage or more
Used to have M&Gs once a month with up to 7 states represented where we exchanged ideas, tried new things out,
Plus been on several Jeep sites over the years since all this computer crap started, before that it was sitting around pot bellied stoves discussing the same things only on a smaller sale
Back then when people made a suggestion or commented you listened, you did not yell, scream or any of that
Sorry for going against what you think works
I'm 65 and having been involved in working, building and driving vehicles for over 50 years
( and not shade tree type stuff )
So again SORRY but I just hate to see people spend money on stuff that does not work like they advertise it

I saw this coming a mile away. We correct everyone every time

I asked about an opinion on shocks and (struts) for my jeep I get a correction about that there not struts. Well I don't care I want suggestions about what works. I ask about tires and all I get is comments about the sizes wheels I have.
I make a statement about air filters and get ridicude about the type I'm talking about. I was looking for simple information all I get is bull crap instead of answers.

AND if you remember I suggested OME or Bilstein
On tires , I also stated that it is very hard to find a good all around tire in the size wheels you have, most people ditch 20s for 16s for better tire selection and better ride
So sorry for giving you good advice and not telling you bull **** !
Some people will agree with you till the cows come home, I won't , I'll tell you from experience
