Last night: drove it to the Jeep dealer, signed papers for a new Jeep. KJ can now relax and not be a DD anymore... after 205k miles I think it's okay to let it retire a bit. Won't need to drive the KJ in the snow anymore!

Very nice, leather, many modern conveniences, what else can you tell us about your new jeep? :)

It's got the new 1.3L turbo. The steering feels like the KJ, pretty heavy and direct. The KL steering is a lot lighter. It rides smooth, about as good as the KJ so that's nice. MPG now is 25. It's got skid plates and tow hooks. I really love it! The seating position is great, feels like how the Commanders used to. It's actually my son's. Has lots of cool tech for the phones, but it feels like a Jeep to me. More so than the Cherokee.

180HP, 25 Mpg sounds good, I am sure your son will like it very much. Looks like an auto, what transmission, how many speeds are in there?

It's got the 9 speed, same as the Cherokee. It's 180hp and 210 ftlbs torque, very flat torque curve. From 1700RPM on up you're at peak torque.

Did a little maintenance today.

Replaced dirty cabin filters with new ones.

If you need motivation to check your cabin filters, here it is. 12,000 miles on these, which is the recommended replacement interval. Maybe that's too long!

Replaced broken windshield washer nozzles with new.

Not being able to clean the windshield for the last week has been annoying. Also, the misfires caused by spraying washer fluid on the engine were not the most fun I've had.

Here's the new. Looks like a shinier black plastic than the original matte black units.

People say the same about KJ's. The question is what is a "REAL" Jeep and how long ago was the last one made?

KJ's are "girly" Jeeps... but, they're still JEEPS! :D
At least 1 axle is solid.
These new rebadged Fiats are just... meh. When one of them punches way above it's weight class, I'll give it some begrudging respect.

(note: all of this in jest. You do you, and spend your money how you like. :D)

When I reply to your post, I can see the quoted image, but I can't see it in either your post or in mine.

Same here.

You clearly need a bigger trailer.

That’s from the 08 KK parts manual.

I don’t know if you can tell from the photo but there’s a 1/4” deep pile of dirt in the left cabin filter!

Something to do with this forum also. I posted that image on others and it's working perfectly fine.

Yea, it's a big ass trailer. I paid $1000, it's half mine, I don't have to pay for the registration on it, I use it any time I want, and it's at my place.
It's not my IDEAL trailer, but at the time I needed something, and wasn't interested in dropping $4k or more on a new one.
