2007 Jeep Liberty overheating. Need some help

alright, so I was driving on the expressway and my car overheated and lost all coolant and popped a engine light. Ran the light it was a coolant temp sensor. Replaced that it still overheats no engine light not sure what the issue is. Any ideas? Or tips to help diagnose?

Bad thermostat maybe?
Is the electric fan working?

Since you ran it hot, I'd do thermostat, upper and lower hoses
then check make sure water pump is OK
Make sure you use HOAT coolant only and use the bleed valve/ plug right behind the upper rad hose

check radiator at the left upper side to make sure it is not leaking

Alright thank you I will order a thermostat tonight. How would I go about checking if my water pump needs to be replaced. I looked around it and didn’t see any leaking.

Only buy a Mopar thermostat.
