I've ventured a little bit out of my wheelhouse with my recent purchase of a 2005 CRD Liberty. One of those has always been on my "top 15 jeeps to own before I die" list for some reason. I always liked the looks of them when they first came out and people were installing rubicon wheel/tire take offs on them with a couple inches of lift. Luckily the previous owner was one of those people that kept the vehicle off of the midwest winter roads loaded with calcium chloride and salt, and he was super **** about maintenance. I already have a couple Jeeps that are more or less dedicated to off road adventures, so this one will lean more towards commuting and milder camping trips. I've never bothered to research any info on a jeep that wasn't a solid axle let alone an Italian made diesel model. This should be an interesting little side project!

Welcome to the Forum.
Nice to hear you found a non rusted, well maintained KJ by the sounds of it!
I hope you do enjoy your upcoming side project, what are you planning?
We have a few CRD knowledgeable members here willing to help.
