Which Pag Oil ?

Which Pag Oil do we use?

02 Liberty V6 4WD

Pag 46, 100, 150 viscosity.

and does UV dye cause any problems in the AC system?

Should be PAG 46 but I've never used the dye so can't help there. I would not think it would hurt though.

i think it's ag46 as well. will check what's left from the last A/C job.

The oil already had dye in it.

already there? How do I detect a leak? Is a Halogen Leak Tester the tool I need?

The dyes are UV fluorescent dyes so you basically use a UV light and some yellow glasses.

so I'm not sure what you're trying to do.
You can buy dye and inject into the system or when you're replacing a component and needing to add oil, I think you can buy oil with dye in it already like I did.

ok so I just need Yellow glasses then what is a Halogen Leak Tester used for or with??

I have not used the sniffers, but the UV dye is pretty easy and fool proof.

If you did not add the UV dye, it is probably not in there. You have to buy oil/refrigerant with the UV dye in there on purpose and not all have it.

I just used a UV flashlight with mine, and was able to spot it easily. The glasses make it more obvious/easier to see when its bright out.

If you are having trouble seeing anything, try again at night.
