sometimes you just gotta do the foolish thing. :D
(says the guy that just bought a 2005 Chrysler Sebring Touring for $3800 with 33k miles on the clock.)

It has some sort of upgraded seat with a fixed headrest, power driver seat. They are flatter than the 02 but not uncomfortable. It was ordered to be used as a rental car, 1 year in service. Build sheet shows Customer Preferred Package 2TB and Customer Preferred Package 29B. Thought the one was the towing package but I don't see the towing wires and it doesn't have both fans, just the electric one. Also no Fog lights but betting they are all wired for them.

Scan tool showed a P0882, clean otherwise with engine temp sitting right at 192 on the highway. Some old owner paperwork showed they had done 3,000 mile oil changes, differentials serviced, didn't see anything about any transmission service but at 35,000 miles it shouldn't have.

Yeap I'm sold. Told them to get it processing. Just can't pass up a 35,000 mile vehicle for this price and that clean.

Not an upgraded seat, its normal sit in them for 100-150 miles and then report back LOL
So for a 1000 bucks it was a good deal :winner_first_h4h:

I don't think you can pass up low mileage, used cars when the price is right. Car payments suck, it's an investment that pays no return. A used car at the right price is a different matter entirely.

Game plan is for this to be the around town car as a second for my own Liberty so when I have it serviced I still have something to drive as well as a daily driver for a child. It may take a trip once in awhile on longer distances for a camping trip or such but generally it will be in town. I don't even plan on putting anything but a good All Season on it vs. something like the Hankook ATM's although it would be nice to have a Liberty we could mod all up:peace:

So thought I'd show it off after I had it detailed out. Probably should have taken a picture or two as it sat on the lot but didn't. I really don't think anyone can argue this wasn't a steal at $4,000 out the door (tags/title/dealer fee) and 35,000 miles.

Back to the climate control issue I do hear a hiss coming from behind the dash at all times, even with the climate control is set to off. This does make me think there is a vacuum leak so I will probably pull the dash panel out to check things out but may wait until I get a new radio head unit because I will say the stock, low end, Mopar, Sport model radios *****! It has no tone control at all and sounds muffled so will see if some junk yard is willing to sell the upgraded model super cheap. If not then I'll be looking for a totally different radio and may wait to pull dash panel then.

4K is not bad imo... I bought my 02 limited with select trac 135k and a rebuilt eng/trans for that and I still had to completely replace the suspension and tires and brakes.

I do have a rattle from the tailgate that I can't find. I checked all the exposed nuts and bolts and they are all tight. Had somebody ride in the cargo area and they swear it is coming from the window lock area but it all appears tight. The arms are shot and news ones are on order so maybe with the correct tension the noise will go away.

Going to pull the dash radio panel today and search for the vacuum leak, or what I hope is a vacuum leak. Even with the air system turned completely off you can hear a hiss so the hope is the line is disconnected and that is why the climate control vent direction settings don't work. Seems strange to me that the Hot/Cold works as expected but not the vent selector if it is a vacuum problem and not the actual actuator/doors.
