Thats great
Anyone come up with an idea of what to turn old Intermediate shafts into?
Hate to just throw them away, but have like 8-10 at least piled up here.

I wondered the same thing, so I kept it. I threw it on a shelf under the workbench. It will sit there a few years, I'll get tired of it falling off the shelf, moving it, looking at it then i'll throw it out.

I was thinking it would be useful for something, but I couldn't separate the shaft from the CV axle so I left it together as the core return.

Same here.

When I worked in auto-wrecking, it was handy to have a quick way to count/verify splines. So we cut off the splined end of junk axle shafts till we had a collection of 'test slugs' from 26-31 splines.

Know anyone with a metal lathe? Good raw material.
