Drilled and tapped my camifold for a boost gauge and finished torquing my head nuts.

My right arm is 130 foot pounds longer than my left arm now.

My local Pull Apart has a set of heater side mirrors. If you're interested, I could grab them today

I made some calls locally yesterday, and apparently a Jeep wreckers has a used pair of heated mirrors in good condition for the KJ..Thank you for offering though Homer.

Went out to the garage, turned up the heat, washed the KJ, sat out there for a while smiling, turned heat down and back inside . Too cold outside plus snow on the ground!

Maintenance weekend. Oil change with some Lucas Stop Leak added in, then got around to dealing with the brakes yet again. Front left was doing the grind during both driving and braking. I was pissed because it was the one I just fixed up this past summer where the frozen slide pins required a new bracket and such.

Turns out the outer pad backing shim was half off and touching the rotor hub. So I pulled it off, regreased, and all is back to normal again.

Planning on tackling the front wheel bearings this spring/summer.

Give or take the occasional explosion!

A log house blew up south of here this winter. The road was closed for awhile and the roof flew two or three hundred yards.

It doesn't happen often.

Heat the house etc with it, regular house furnace , it's regulated well, guy checks it daily , well is down over the hill away from house. nothing different than running a gas line from a company to heat with. water heater, cook stove also gas.
Thats one reason I liked this place , no heating bills, no water, ( get all water from a spring) only electric to pay . 60-70 a month for electric & internet are my only bills :gr_grin:

Been cleaning my engine bay, camifold and cleaning/sorting other parts. It just goes on and on. Got distracted by the radiator/intercooler/e-fan/condensor puzzle. None of that really had to come apart for the timing belt change but I wanted to drain the accumulated oil from the intercooler. After 4 years resting on one corner it still produces a tiny trickle, much like an English motorcycle.

Back to it today.

I was able to start it this morning!

Turned 70k on the way home tonight.

Don't know yet what caused it, said it could be up to a year
line was installed back in the 50s, 2 others running close by so they had to close them in as well , they are lines that run 1000s of miles so big time $$$ lost

This relatively cold weather really amplifies how bad my stock suspension is. I think I actually bottomed the back out today. Probably close to maxing the front a couple times too and this was on my boring commute. Time to start saving...

Decided to pull the trigger on some clear/smoke turn signals, as she's been running fine, and they only issue I have been having is my power steering pump in this under 30F weather. Reached out to a ebay seller who had a set in Lithuania for ~$1,300 and offered them $65 + shipping. Right after I sent the email, I remembered that someone posted a link to PartsGeek, but at that time they only had one side. I checked, and both sides were in stock! W/shipping, I spent $42. I'll spend what I saved on some yellow LED bulbs to make me legal-ish.

Bought the Jeep some fresh oil and spark plugs to be done next week.

Need to do the 05 first of next week, plugs, filters, PCV, oil, check everything over. Its been sitting in my parents garage for a while now ,..........waiting on me :emotions34::emotions34:
