^ The clean moab machine, looks awesome.
Today my throttle cable got some trumpet oil down in there, sticking a bit.
Sprayed out the throttle plate. Also some cleaning to throttle return spring etc.
A bit of back to black & we are better detailed again, dust be gone.

mini test of the garage work...

landscaper's truck is having problems with the light wiring for the plow.
figure it'd be nice to at least have it in the garage somewhat.
turns out the problem is a corroded factory dry crimp.

I fixed it.

Never move anywhere that you do not have a garage
anywhere I move there has to be a garage or I don't move, don't care how sexy she is . Now rich and sexy possibly, she can build me one:happy175:

Changed the u-joints. The old ones were completely cactus! Not a hint of grease left and the little pins were rusted and broken. No more clunking when going from reverse to drive!

Edit. Had a hard time getting one of the caps on. Turns out some of the little pins had fallen over preventing it from going on right. Took a couple of goes but got there in the end.

The little pins can be sneaky. Putting new u-joints in the freezer for awhile thickens the grease and helps keep the pins in place during installation.

was thinking of maybe trying to adapt something like that to fit up there, with the switches angled down maybe 30 degrees.

^ I don't have an answer, but if you can get something to work it would perhaps solve an idea I've been mulling over. I think getting a bunch of wires up there (and not looking lousy) would be a big part of the problem.

I hope someone has a great idea, though. :)

Only downside would be reaching them. Or maybe I sit too far back and have short arms. I guess if the switches you have up there are ones that could be left on for a long period of time it would be ok.
As far as mounting and running wires that wouldn't be bad at all, drop headliner, pillar etc and go
I'm working on downsizing a lot of my switches, for example my two sets of lights on the bumper will be controlled by one switch running through an old fashioned floor headlight switch

I'm thinking all the light control switches would go up there, so they wouldn't be touched all the time. I think I can reach that spot easily; I should check again. :D
