I’m replacing the sway bar end links and when I went to take the old one off it just spins. I’m using an impact now but it still just spins. By that I mean where the rod goes into the end link just turns. Any ideas how to get these off with the rod just spinning? I don’t have a cutting torch. Please help!

Sorry. I meant this for the tie rod ends. I’m doing both the sway bar end links and the tie rod ends. I guess I had the end links in my head while writing that.

It’s the tie rod ends. I can turn the nut but the while rod or bolt spins.

Yeah get a box wrench on them and then hold the bottom with vise grips. Some have hex or square end, can use a 1/4" 12 point socket too.
