Hi

Took my new to me 2007 3.7 KJ Sport 4x4 to a suspension centre today to let them have a look over and give me an idea of what needs to be done to stop my front clunking noise and the loose rear end.
The guy calls me into the workshop to show me everything as he didn't think I would believe him without seeing.

Basically every bush and ball joint is shot front and back.
I expected some repairs but not this much.:help:
He says that bringing in parts from the US will be the best option as we have so few aftermarket options here.

So my questions are after looking through the RockAuto website and confusing the hell out of myself is what brands for suspension components are decent quality? I need a good price to quality ratio.
Moog seem to be good quality from what I've read but they are more expensive.
What about brands like Mevotech, ACDelco and so on?
And which outlet would be the cheapest where I can get all the components in one place as shipping plays a big part as well?

Thanks
Shannon

I'm running king springs and oztec shocks from GSA suspension $750. Moog are a good option and better quality than the others. I buy all from Rock auto always been good to deal with.

I went Bilstein and Moog, but honestly, the Moogs aren't great.
The paint was already flaking off, and the right rear still has not settled about 1/4 an inch

I think they may have some quality control issues. As stated above, I would go OME or Kings with the Bilsteins.

Moog is ok if you get the K series. CK or MK is crap.

Yes. OEM front lower control arms are like $400 each though

My plan if/when I need new LCA's is to get Mopar or Moog Problem solver bushings put into the original arms. Or a set of junkyard ones if I don't have time to leave the KJ apart.

That's pretty much what I did with mine. I pulled a set of LCA's off a KJ at a junkyard, sanded and painted them, and replaced all the old bushings with new Moog PS ones. Then just switched them out with the old LCA's.

Cost about $50 per LCA that way, compared to $350-400 for a completely new one.
