The Tailpipe hanger brackets were getting rusted up a bit.
Considering their location right behind the rear fender wheel well, with flying salt, take a second to check yours for rust.

After years of plugging my Dodge in, I was semi-hoping that my Liberty came with one installed, so I wouldn't have to sit there while she idles up every morning.
Sounds like you need to install one soon, not expensive either!

my block heater is sitting on the shelf, waiting install. Sadly I need to get to doing it sooner rather than later.

While the part may be cheap, what's the install like? IIRC, the block heater goes in the back frost plug, which judging by the back plug and coil is a :favorites68: to get to.

Closer to the front but probably still easier to get at it from the bottom with skids off.

IDK all Canadian Jeeps automatically came with a factory installed one, even though they were not listed on build sheets.
Using a Special power meter called a Kill-A-Watt the results are 519 watt per hour.

Dealership may install one for about an hours labor others have previously mentioned.

I changed some fluids today since I have no service records for my new liberty. I drained and filled the t-case with Valvoline ATF +4, and the ****** got Royal Purple Synchromax MTF. It immediately started shifting smoother. $40 well spent, in my opinion.

I also started up the XJ for the first time in three weeks. I filled it up with gas, and I will be cleaning it out tomorrow. It's going to be my winter storm/parts running beater for a while.

Changed the oil on the Libby. Was a bit over 6000 miles....oops.

My husband's driving it to work now, almost an hour each way, so it needed the change.

And my husband floored it in the rain going uphill on an on-ramp.

And spun out.

This is only the 4th day he’s driven it to work.

Not having much luck with the KJ this past week. On Saturday night the battery died after I had the interior light on for 10-15 minutes. Got a jump, and was planning on replacing the battery after getting this month's pay check in a couple of days. In the mean time, I got a portable jumper box that got great reviews online, just in case I had any more issues with the battery before then.

Sunday night the radio died.

Yesterday night I got off work, try to start the KJ, and... nothing. The starter clicked, but that was it. I pulled out my fancy new jumper box that's supposed to be amazing, and it still wouldn't start. Then, while trying to get it started, the ignition switch actuator pin broke. I went and bought a new battery, then spent about an hour and a half pulling the ignition apart.

Let's see what's in store for today :emotions34:.

SSDD... new coil and plug for cylinder 6, again.
Now it’s almost guaranteed to misfire each time I start it up. After a bit of idling while missing and a couple restarts - it goes away. Coming to a stop and while in gear - it hiccups a bit.
What’s next. Replacing injectors ? Jesus....

learn from my mistake, stop throwing parts at it right now, do a compression test, if that is good, do a leak down test, (that will show you if you need new heads), if the leak down test is good, test fuel pressure, injectors, etc...

if you need any oem injectors or sensors, let me know, as i have all of my originals because i was stupid and used the money powered parts cannon before doing full diagnostics.
