Was driving my jeep home last week, jeep lost all pep and Seemingly went into limp mode....made it home. Now....when I am in park or neutral the vehicle revs the way it should....when I put it into forward or reverse it putters along at maybe 2 mph and won't respond to the accelerator even when matted to the floor.....now P0700 code and check engine light on. Anybody have this issue? Probable Causes?

You need to plug in a trans code-capable scantool and see what the actual trans codes are. The P0700 simply tells you there are such codes to be read.

You probably have the input or output speed sensor mismatch code, which could be the sensor(s) (trust me, Mopar only) or could be trans components starting to fail.

What year is your KJ?

P0891 is "transmission relay always ON" according to the 2006 KJ Service Manual.

The 2006 manual has a DTC index on the first page...look up your relevant code and go to the page indicated. If different year model is yours then go to that manual rather....2004 year is not covered though.
