After painting it why are you selling it?
Nice looking KJ & color, low miles too. Condition at 16 years plays much into pricing as well.
Is under hood detailed & clean ? pics please..How are the parts/ under carriage rust free?
A lot also has to do with options/build sheet, even though it is a Limited, no sunroof, does it have cloth or leather interior?
I really dont know USA used pricing, but looked at craigs in Baltimore ..
In very clean condition, ( you will get more selling privately) may be between 3-5k $ ?

Is that 3-5k in CAD or USD? Big difference once you get that many loonies and such involved.

But yes to all of the above. In the northern states, things like heated seats add to the value... as rust free as possible will add a lot as well. Maintenance records help.

Also, are you required in Maryland to have a front license plate? If not, get rid of that bracket. It'll scratch the bumper, cause uneven paint fade, and generally looks like crap.

Ultimately for pricing, it comes down to desirability and perceived value. It IS still a 16 year old Jeep, and it IS a model generally considered less desirable, and typically a "woman's" or "girls" Jeep in a lot of places- I know, it isn't, and that thinking is not respectful to anyone, but it is what it is.

I'd pay less since it was just painted
reason why? never know what it was covering up
Sorry but that is the way it is
Plus only 60,000 scares me as well, lots of time just sitting, which at times , well many times is worse on a vehicle than driving it more

This is so true. At least that's been my experience...

Where (approximately) are you in MD? Could be from the salty beach area to the road salty "mountains". I'm near Frederick and they use tons of salt around here.

Yeah 5k easy if no rust damage. Between now and December is a prime to sell. People are looking for little 4x4s for getting around in the snow.

Im thinking about 5K.

I found that when I listed a vehicle on craigslist and added a link to the vehicle maintenance history(repair receipts/oil changes, log of everything done) that I had put together in a word doc, I was immediately swamped with text/calls.

I also provided a link in my listing to a carfax/autocheck report for the car.

Every time I sell a car, I do those two things and have no issues at all getting exactly what I ask for. Set yourself apart from the idiots that post little to nothing. People want to know you took care of it, putting in that effort shows you are serious about the upkeep and maintenance of your vehicle.

If everything works, no codes, and the paint job isnt the $300 macco special, a solid $5k.

It IS actually 4x4 right? I dont see the trail rated badge. You'll have to take a good bit less if no 4x4.

I'm sorry.. that *****.

My aunt lives in Illinois, when the rebooted Camaro came out in 2010, she took possession of unit #306 to roll off the line. She bought it here in Michigan; when she got it home she had to drill into the brand new bumper of her $40,000 Camaro 2LT and put a front plate on it with a gaudy, disgusting looking plate bracket.

That Camaro issue does suck!
Actually the one on my kj isn't that bad. I'd prefer not to have it but it is really solid. I have a couple other vehicles that sometimes make me wish I was back in PA.

Yep. And when I drove the car myself, it was nice... but I did not see what all the hooplah was about. Blindspots like the space shuttle, same v6 power delivery and gearing as any other GM sedan with the same/similar engine, and basic plastic/rubber interior.

It looked cool, that was about all it had going for it besides the name on the door.
