Water pump (suspected) went out today and made the Jeep almost overheat twice. Any recommendations on brand and/or tips on replacement?
If I replace it and it’s no fix then it’s probably it for her and time to move on..

Too lazy to use the search bar :gr_grin:

Changed pump- drove down the street and started overheating 3 houses down
Ran and got a new thermostat, thinking maybe the one I put in two years ago was defective and still same thing
I drained it all, filled the reservoir with only about a 1/4 of a bottle and it wouldn’t go down into the system.. bled it and still nothing but overheating even when idling
I’ve got antifreeze going to the radiator I believe but it’s just not cycling
Last resort is talking with the guys at work and seeing what they can suggest needs done from this point.. not forking out tons of money for it so we’ll see!

You only got a 1/4 bottle into system, of Hoat or Zerex G-05 ?
Use a small funnel & fill the rad through the air bleed hole first...

1. Fill through bleed hole, tighten down bleeder valve
2. Fill reservoir to regular fill (about halfway up where the two sections meet), leave cap off
3. Start it, put heat on full blast (doesn't help it any to put on heat since coolant always flows through the heater core, but at least this will tell you if there's air lock issue)
4. Keep an eye on level, top off if needed
5. Once you hit full temp and have good heat, you're good to go. Just check it in a day or two to make sure.

Thanks. I’ll attempt this process in a day or two. Tried blasting heat the other day and it was blowing cold even at full temp (well, overheating temp)
