After 12 and a half years of being the original owner of my KJ I'm ready to pass it on to the next owner. I'll be posting to the for sale section of this forum once I get it washed and pretty for pictures. I definitely want to give this community first shot at it before I try to sell it locally. No issues or regrets but my lifestyle is changing and I'm ready to drive a Grand Cherokee next year.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience over the years. It was not an easy decision to sell but it was easy deciding to buy another Jeep. The KJ was my first Jeep and best vehicle I've ever owned - despite some of my rants when things broke now and then.

Dang Smitty, hate to see your KJ go - you have a very nice build and have obviously taken good care of her.

A Grand Cherokee with the Hemi can be a lot of fun and a TON of aftermarket support for it - the Commander is basically the same vehicle and I'm enjoying my Hemi way too much at times ;)

Let us know which GC model you end up getting - and thanks for all your contributions here on the board :waytogo:

Took me a few months but I'll be taking delivery of my new GC Trailhawk Monday. With all the electronic 4x4 buttons and gizmos I'll have to study up on them before going off road. I'm excited but still sad to see my first Jeep go on to another life (hopefully not the scrapyard!) My wife joking suggested taking my Chysler 100,000 mile club license plate holder off and using it as a frame for a picture of my KJ. Jokes on her because I'm doing exactly that!

After all the time & $ work you did to that sweet KJ I'm surprised you don't just keep the KJ & enjoy the new GC trailhawk as well!
:sorrysign: But..I think you will greatly miss the KJ if you do let it go..
I know which one is more capable off road too..

That was my original plan but didn't work out and I'll definitely miss the KJ for sure. It was getting to the point where it would sit for 3-4 weeks at a time and I was keeping it alive just to drive to hunting camp 4 hours away for a few trips a year, and a few trips to the off road park. The Jeep dealership had never seen a KJ like it before they said.

Looks good. I really like the red accents and the grey color. Are the calipers red as well?

Being in PA, are you going to have the underbody coated to prevent future salt damage? I figure it would be easy with everything nice and clean. It will give you a good excust to get underneath it to plan future mods...
