***** you got rid of the KJ but that new PU is nice. Which engine did you get with that one? I've driven the 2.7 and the 3.5. Both feel good when you get on the pedal. The 3.5 just creates a bigger smile when you step on it though.:gr_grin:

I got the 2.7 which is actually a little bit quicker than the 3.5, also $1200 cheaper. Didn't need the extra towing capacity of the 3.5 so I went with the cheaper quicker option:icon_razz:

So I'm debating on whether to get these headlights with a black housing and black out the chrome or keep a chrome housing and the chrome

Raptor headlights? Those look really good.

Nah those are anzo's. The OEM Raptor headlights are $1700 and are LED. These ones are halogen projectors but I would be swapping out the halogens for leds

Well I figured I'd post some pics of the new rig and where it's at right now.

Here it is in Kentucky on a hunting trip. Performed awesome with a completely full bed and cab and got around 18mpg on the 750 mile one way trip.

Took it offroading a couple weeks ago and it was awesome with the rear elocker. Can't do hills though seeing as how the wheelbase is too long, framed out on just a little one[emoji19] made me miss the jeep a little bit.

Also put on a tonneau cover so I can have somewhat lockable storage and also so no one can see what's in the bed


Also took off the front air dam, undercarriage sound deadener, and silencer rings in the intake so I can hear my turbos more as well

So the quad I got has been an absolute monster offroad. I can take this thing through trails and to places no truck can get to plus I don't feel bad when I beat on this since it was built to be abused.

Also once the quad has been paid off this spring will be building the truck into an overland type vehicle. First going to get full skids. Then next is upgraded headlights. Then new front coilovers in the front with an add a leaf and new shocks in the rear. That'll net me about 2.5" of lift and then I'll go with some 33s. Basically going to then it into something like this

Wel I'm back into a Jeep ladies and germs! Picked up an 87 XJ over the weekend with 80k miles. It's got the HPD30 and D44 rear with 3.73 gears and np242 tcase and the 4.0. First things first is I gotta patch a couple holes in the floor pans and fix the drivers seat bracket then I can focus on modding it more. Already has a 2" lift and 31s.

Nice XJ! Love mine even though it's a pavement queen.

The getting the floors fixed in mine made such a difference. So much quieter and tighter feeling.

Thanks! And yea this one is gonna be a wheeler/occasionally road driven I dont want to get pressure washed with water when I have to go through water lol

Got some work done on the XJ over the weekend. Had a ridiculously loud ear piercing squeal which was coming from damn near all the pulleys. Replaced the idler, deleted the mechanical fan since that pulley bearing is non serviceable, replaced the ac compressor bearing, and the alternator with a new 100A one. So since I deleted the mech fan I got a shorter 84" belt to bypass it.
And since it was a rainy day I popped up a tent over the Jeep to keep me dry

Are you going to go with efans instead? I don't think the stock efan is enough to cool it. When the fan clutch started going bad on mine, it'd hit 220 at idle with or without AC on if it were above 80. New fan clutch from Napa fixed it.

It's not the fan clutch that went it was the pulley mounted to the AC compressor bracket which is none serviceable. I'm eventually going to go with a dual efan setup in the next couple of weeks. As of right now it's staying at operating temp. My AC doesn't even work so as you can see I didn't reinstall the AC clutch back on the pulley
