What would make my 2006 Jeep Liberty 3.7 L bog down when hitting a bump from 35 and up and constantly do it at 50 end above

Bad u-joints aren't going to make the engine bog down.. unless you're not describing it accurately. ???

Where he works is irrelevant.

You could go off of that, but someone else could tell you that they had a 2003 Jeep Liberty that had the same problem and theirs was caused by water in the fuel, or a torn PCV hose, or a faulty TPS, or a failing fuel pump...

You could go off of those too.. but how many parts are you interested in changing?

Honestly, plugs and coils ws mentioned previously, it's a good start, regardless of what a parts dude says (I used to be an AZ parts monkey, I know...). How long since they've been done?

You should have those plugs, NGK ZFR6f-11G, stock number 6987, replaced every 30,000 miles or so. Coils go bad somewhat often as well.

Any MIL? What are the codes?

I'd go through the entire Jeep as far as maintenance items go, once you get this resolved.

If it's an engine bogging down problem, but has no MIL or codes pending stored, I'd start with plugs. Use the proper NGK's, they should only cost you about $15 for a set and take about 30 mins to change.

Make sure you have fresh, clean fuel in it as well, possibly add in a water remover if you live somewhere cold like I do, and moisture is a possibility in the tank. A good fuel system cleaner like Berryman's B12 or Chevron Techron may be of help as well, especially if it's a gummed up injector or pump.

After that, I'd start looking for broken or cracked hoses attached to the engine; intake tube, PCV and breather tubes, vacuum lines, etc.

Then, possibly loose or damaged electrical connectors...

After that.. well, it depends on the results of everything else I just typed.

Have you tried cleaning the connectors to the PCM and BCM? Depending on your year KJ they're in different places, mine are under the hood behind the driver's side wheel well, and on wet days they'd act up in all sorts of weird ways including messing with the gauge cluster dials, warning lights, and the headlights. Pull the connectors and use some contact cleaner and dielectric grease on them.

Sometimes it is just best to add a reply instead of creating a new thread, so we can see the history/other posts, associated to your 2006 KJ bogging problem.

Check your rear differential speed sensor wiring/connector firstly.
How old is your battery? Have you had it load tested?
Make sure battery connections/terminals are spotlessly clean, to ensure good connections and they are tight!
What is the voltage readings in the AM not running, and the running charging voltages?

Ya, so...everyone else is thinking misfires, and if it was that bad a MIL, engine light would come on.
I am thinking electrical, cause a bad battery or electrical can cause all kinds of problems on a KJ.
The speed sensor also wreaks havoc and is a known problem, if connector or wires, are in bad order..INSPECT IT !
Good lord, do you want me to hold your hand?

My guess is you have a wheel speed sensor issue which is causing the TC/ESP lights to come on, TC kicks in and cuts power. Sounds exactly like what my WK would do when TC would come on. Check all 4 ABS sensors running to the wheels and look for obvious breakage, otherwise a scanner will be needed.

Does it bog down when the TC/ABS/ESP lights come on? If so, a coil pack won't fix it. You have a speed sensor issue if they occur at the same time.
