45RFE slamming characteristic help..

well both filter changed as well as the fluid and my trans is stilllll shifting stupid the dealership said nothing wrong so its just me sadly... and youre right JasonJ i need a turbo something. if i blow the Liberty's engine then im doing a 4.7 HO swap and then turbo charging it. shit im ganna make this jeep fast if it decides to blow up, but im thinking the trans isnt ganna last as long as the engine but we will see

Did they do a trans re-learn procedure? A must after fluid/filter change on the 45RFE.

Your looking at big $$$$ to turbo a 4.7 since they suffer from the same problems with boost as the 3.7.They do make custom forged pistons and heads but that is hit or miss nowdays to finding them and they are very pricey.

im not sure about a relaern but i could do it myself by disconnecting the battery terminals for 10 mins with them taped together.

as for the 4.7 i plan on building the motor with forged pistons and heads, valve springs, ported intake and exhaust, cams, the whole 9 yards, and then turboing it. as for the money... ya. but all this will commense once the liberty dies with its factory equiptment, and will sit for years as i accumilate the parts to the motor and everthing else thats involved. at the end of the day i want my kids to drive my first car as their first car. which will be a turbo v8 liberty. the thing ive always dreamed of:emotions34:
