I always thought FJ40's were a Jeep replica made and sold in Japan.

Basically, yeah, really any 4x4 is a Jeep knock off. First Land Rover was based on a Willys MB, then Toyota saw that market and created the FJ thing.

I had trouble with UPS when I bought from JBA. Marlin got everything sorted out no problem. Good guy to work with.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
I’m not complaining about it blowing out the seal as far as I know they have lived a very good life. I do wash them regularly though and take care of my stuff. I just didn’t understand why the rebuild cost more than just buying a whole new cylinder. Again not unhappy at all with the product I love the ride and ease of the coilovers.

Labor.

Like anything else these days , cheaper to replace than it is to rebuild something . Look at anything electronic, TVs , cell phones etc

Cell phones are still very repairable for mid to high end phones. It's the cheap $100 or less phones that don't make sense to fix. iPhone 7 costs $129 for screen replacement with Applecare+ (which can cost extra) and takes a few hours for an appointment at an apple store. At my shop we charge $99 w/ lifetime warranty and do it in 20 minutes.

People fry the chip responsible for talking to the charger using cheap charging blocks. Apple will only do a full device replacement. An iPhone 6 goes for $200+ used. We can replace the chip for $99.

For these same repairs insurance is $9.99-11.99/mo + 150 to 199 deductible.

Not to thread jack, but what would you charge for a battery replacement on an iPhone 6 and a Lightening port replacement on an iPhone 6S? On the 6S you have move the cord around a lot for it to charge and it's not the cord. :(

I am fully aware of the costs , have had to have two if my wifes phones rescreened .
Missing the point though

$29 for battery and $49 for the port. 2 year warranty on the battery, lifetime on the port. Water/physical damage not covered.

Part came in but it's the wrong one. This one is not adjustable. The newest one isn't listed on the website for some reason.

Jba sent me a prepaid return label. I offered to pay for return shipping since it was my mistake ordering the wrong piece.

No I don't believe the adjustable is up there. JBA customer service is Amazon level of service its so good. He got the correct one out to me next day.

I also needed a new clevis/fork and they replaced that one under warranty and shipped it same day I asked for it.

The pricing still doesn't make sense to me but quality/customer service was never an issue I had.
