Hi gang.

Well, the old saying that life happens is certainly appropriate here. We are moving a parent into our house for health reasons and that means a significant remodel to make our first floor bathroom handicap-accessible. If you've ever done a project like this you know it takes a few bucks and that's certainly the case for us. So...

My beloved KJ is moving on to another owner. I absolutely HATE giving her up but it's the right thing to do. Having three Jeeps here at the moment is kind of an embarrassment of riches so we're going to slim down to two and the KJ is the one that needs to go.

My Renegade's history is pretty well documented here but if you're interested in more details the Craigslist ad is below. If you want to throw an offer at me send me a PM and we'll talk - don't really want to travel to sell her but if it's a reasonable distance we'll figure it out. It's obviously for sale locally.

Ya'll have been great to talk, BS and argue with over the years but time marches on. I'll still poke my head in to see what's happening so I won't be a stranger. Appreciate ya :waytogo:

dang, one of my favorite builds on here. I hope everything works out for you and your family. The whole transition/modification to home for handicap is kinda my specialty in my career, there are a lot of great services, tax breaks and info out there for that so if you have any questions or want suggestions ill gladly answer in a PM. take care

You'll be missed buddy! Sorry to hear about your circumstances...don't be a stranger around here. If you're ever in WI let me know!

Wheeling with you at Windrock was awesome....pretty much think about that trip every time I pull the 4WD lever on the KJ.

Off topic

but thats what I do, well did for a major insurance company here in Ohio , went to the homes, designed handicapped modifications etc . That is until I designed a whole program for them ( through my Consulting Company ) set up providers to do mods etc and then they left me hanging owing me over 17,000 bucks. After over 2 years still Lawyers arguing with nothing done.
Love doing that kind of work .

Sorry you have to sell her. Sometimes you just have to do what is needed for family, nothing is more important. Hopefully the person who buys your Reny will be on here or join, and we can all make sure she continues to have a good life. You will be missed. Wish you the best TwoBobsKJ.

See, that's why I don't like people. They get sick, they move away, they die, they sell their KJs and they do stuff like that right after I get to likin' them. :(

Maybe there's still hope... you keep in touch with Tom and his addiction might rub off on you. Before you know it, you'll be lookin' for that KJ fix again.

Sorry to hear about your situation twobobskj. I'm kind of in the same boat we trying to fix up our place to look after someone too. Been years of getting one improvement after another done but we really need a specifically built addition or major renovation gutting the place.
Bought the Commander because it could transport a folding wheelchair easily and the powered wheelchair with the trailer hitch adapter and it's just the right hight for her to get in and out of easily.

You've got a great KJ, somebody will get a well sorted out jeep. Kind of hope you don't have to sell it and part of me wishes I had enough cash to grab it.

May God bless you and your family. I hope one day you can get another KJ and make it look as good if not better than this one. Both of my parents are disabled and they are remodeling their home to be more adequate for them. My dad told me how much he was paying for a walk-in bathtub and I about fell over.

Bob, the high point of my KJ ownership was meeting you and Tom (and Mac) at your house almost exactly a year ago. (Yes, I remember the date: 9-17-2016)

Been there, got lifted, even got the t-shirt. (And I wear it often, even though I don't know any of those people and look like an idiot when trying to answer questions people ask about it.)

My dad is 85 and I have been trying to talk him into moving up here because his days at home alone are dwindling. He visited for a couple weeks in July and I know how much work you and your wife are in for. God bless you for doing the right thing.

I'm with those who said they'd like to buy it for themselves. If I somehow get rich before it sells I'll be giving you a call.

And please don't disappear. I've noticed you not being as active recently (and I feel like a schmuck for not asking about it), and have been missing you even before this announcement.

PS: I still have your custom brake line support extender installed. Working like a champ.

Well that's both disheartening and warming to hear that while you have to part ways with the beloved KJ, you are taking care of a parent in a way that no other home could.

That being said, If I had $5000 cash in hand I'd drive the 5 hours to Unionville, OH and buy it from you. It's a beautiful truck, the upgrades alone worth the asking price.

Good luck on the sale and the new chapter at home too.
