02-05 look at the wires near the body up over the rear diff like mentioned above
That controls the cruise and speedo
lots of times you can not see the break , but ...
Mopar has a kit with wires etc

I've looked but the wires connect to another group of wires. Can they be disconnected there? It's about a foot long to the other group of wires.

So I finally got to have a better look at the plug. Once I took off the electrical tape the plug fell right off. Wires were broke but looked perfect. Re sodered the wires and put back together. All fixed up! Thanks everyone for all your input it was greatly appreciated.

That connector on the rear diff does give a lot of problems...glad you fixed it.
As a matter of fact Chrysler issued a TSB for all 2005 KJs that the rear diff may have been factory filled with wrong oil that eats up the sensor.
Fix is to have Dealers drain and clean out the rear diff, fill up with correct oil and replace the speed sensor.
