not sure how advisable this is
[yt]8Ly3pC8tzDc[/yt]

Not a bad idea - I can't picture what could be used as a leverage point on the KJ. Thankfully I was able to use the BFH to remove mine on the KJ and recently I replaced the passenger side on my XK. It has an aluminum knuckle and I was worried about what HJ said above - the two metals fusing together.

I was fortunate.

P.S. That guy in the video actually has some good how-to's but that particular one he was a bit goofy :happy175:

except it might blow some hoses or even the P/S pump.

Yeah.... he was pretty goofy in this vid.

is the knuckle on the KJ AL or steel?

At the junkyard locating another rear ball joint bracket. Think my pinion bearing is shot. Almost considering buying a complete axle assembly to swap out so it's drivable without the noise. Then teach myself to rebuild my axle and put a locker w/ 4.10s in it.

On the front center of the hub to fender it's at 22"

Swapped out the broken ball joint bracket. Had my tire replaced under warranty at Walmart.

Just need to put on my backbone and winch.

So other way around may look like we ran them in the 70s ,
front little higher is like they build the desert racers in Cali
but 3.5 inches difference is , ah,....well...mmmmm:happy175:

Probably OME 947/8 springs and maybe an extra isolator. I'd start there.

And damn Tom, that bites. It's got to be hard to not be angry. :favorites68: How many miles? I wonder what happened. Radiator hose burst or something?

Is there any chance that the gauge/sender spazzed out and it's actually ok?

Found out one of the shocks in my pre-owned iron man struts I just got is worn out. Passenger side makes a good amount of noise over bumps. Guess that's what I get for trying to get by cheap.

Time to pull them and swap in new shocks. [emoji1303]

May just leave it, idk yet

That ***** Tom, hopefully the damage won't be too bad.

I put in all the shiny Limited interior trim parts. And found out that despite all the research I did on installing an EVIC, I missed the part about 05's not having the bracket required to install the EVIC :favorites68:. I can't find it anywhere online, and the nearest junkyard that has multiple Limiteds is in Colorado Springs, 200 miles away. Looks like another long trip :favorites68:.

My brother had an old Monza Spyder that he loved. He let his girlfriend drive it, it started overheating so she decided to drive home as fast as she could to not run it too long... blew the engine, never started again.

I hope the damage is minimal...

If you go back there I could use the chrome trim piece that goes around the lock on the rear driver's side door. :)
