My ball studs are rusting away.:help:

My ball studs are rusting away.:help:
The upper ball studs on the rear glass are rusting away to be precise.
Can get the bracket cheap but it needs to cut off and welded back on and painted.
Was thinking just cut the old ball stud out and replace with a 1/4 inch throttle ball stud from a holley carb.
Think that is strong enough?

can get replacement strut studs from any of the typical parts stores in the HELP! section

just cut off the original studs, drill them out of the bracket and bolt in the new studs.
