If i hammer the throttle (pedal to the floor) my jeep seems to make a lot of noise but barely pulls. Is this just a normal thing for the 3.7? It feels like I'm pulling a boat anchor or something. No codes are being thrown.

Not normal. Mine has plenty of get-up-and-go to spare. Most people are surprised, actually.

I'm at stock gearing with stock tires at the moment.

lol I heard jeeps are somewhat sluggish but seems like way worse then normal.

I had a 3.0 Vulcan V6 in my Ranger back in the day and that had more pull then this.

It's not binding via a brake issue because that was my first thought as well.

It does have original coils and is pushing 150,000 miles. Maybe it's time for a swap

my KJ's pickup is pretty good as well.

I'm sure you've tried the usual cleaning TB, cleaning IAC, new air filter, plugs, fuel system cleaner, etc

Don't know if the gas Libertys are the same but the CRDs computer "learns" how you drive and doesn't "believe" you when you drive otherwise.

For example; If you live in stop and go traffic jams it'll think you drive like a granny and just "not go" when you floor it.

If you drive like "you stole it" and pass everyone all the time you will need the brakes to rein it in and slow down because it "knows" you like to go fast.

I'm not a fan of the feature. Almost cost me and someone else a head-on in a normal pass. I'd been driving slowly through neighborhoods all day working and it was "sluggish"!

Sounds like you need a good tune up. How's it at idling? Clogged cat, perhaps?

And agree!

This occasionally happens to mine as well. Most of the time it accelerates perfectly fine, with lots of power. But occasionally it just won't go over 65-70mph on the interstate. A couple minutes later it'll be perfectly fine again.

I've done all the usual stuff. Plugs, throttle body, air filter, IAC, etc. I've just given up on trying to find out what causes it, since as long as it only happens every now and then it's not a big issue for me.

Sounds like an intermittent fuel supply issue. If it is not misfiring when doing it, it's likely fuel or air supply related. Fuel pump could be getting weak and starting to fail. I've seen this a ton in lots of other vehicles.

Some times when I press I am pushed back in my seat and am surprised. Other times I can hold it down to the floor and nothing happens... like it is confused or something. I am also in bumper to bumper traffic all the time, rarely get it over 40 MPH so maybe a computer thing. I have also had near misses when trying to get onto a busy road and I almost think it stalled, just sits there as oncoming traffic swerves out of the way... then out of the blue it will screech and roar and giddy up. Very strange beasts...

This sounds more like the ESP system kicking in. If your going straight and punch it no problem, but if your turning and punch it, it ignores you to prevent a roll over.
