Since i purchased my 05 renegade i get gurgling from the coolant overflow tank and a kind of rushing of water sound now and then i dont see any loss of coolant except maybe an 1/8" in 3 months i do know the thermostat was changed as well as the upper rad hose before i bought it. There is no exhaust smoke or power issues and the sounds are not consistent is this air in the system? Or is there an underlying issue?

Probably a bit of air in there from the Tstat rad hose change. It'll probably work its way out with time. Just keep an eye on the level.

Probably got a bit of air in the heater core. Mine did this for a bit after one of my radiator changes. Eventually worked its way out.

Shortly after the last time I changed my radiator coolant started boiling in the overflow tank I tried bleeding any air out but it did not help, turned out to be the seal of the tank lid was bad. pressure seems to be a big factor in the boiling point of the coolant.
