help identifying a hose

Hello,
I think I've tracked a leak down to a particular hose on my 03' Renegade, but I have no idea what it's called. I've searched through the repair manual, and googled for some kind of visual parts guide, but I've had no luck. It's probably stupidly simple, so I apologize ahead of time.

So, can anyone help me name this hose?




I labeled the air intake just for location reference. The hose seems to be leaking where it goes into the front metal crimp. If I can find out what the dang thing is called, then I can hopefully move on to fixing or replacing it.

High pressure hose for the AC system
Should run from your AC compressor to the condensor

To get it replaced, you will need to take it to a shop that can recover/recharge/recycle your AC refrigerant.. not something you can drain and recharge on your own (legally or intelligently).

Thanks! The AC system is something I've never needed to mess with, so I don't feel too bad for not knowing what the hose was.
I'll see if I can get it in someplace after the holiday, I guess. At least it waited until summer was over!

Don't take it out by yourself without having is drained properly. And don't think there is nothing left as it's been leaking. It is under "high" pressure!!!

Mine looks the same... same leak, has been that way for about 5 years and the A/C still works like a charm. During a recent service visit I asked about getting it replaced and they wanted $800 to get it done... no thanks, I'll leave it as is.

as everyone mentioned, unless the refrigerant has all leaked out, you'll need to recover it at a shop.

You can get that hose rebuilt or replaced entirely.

You'll need to replace the accumulator (dryer) and the liquid line which has the orifice tube in it.

You'll also need o-rings. Possibly oil for they system as well depending on what you are planning to replace.

I'd recommend using arizona auto refrigeration if you don't want to do the work.

I'd also recommend coolstream next to the downtown location to buy parts you'll need but any LAP would work. Coolstream can rebuilt that hose.
