It might last till you start manufacturing yours.

I have the plans, new front and new rear, now to find a rich woman who wants to fund me and get this whole thing off the ground , or guy, bear, turtle, whatever kind of animal/ human etc that wants to be a silent partner :happy175::happy175:

Traded it even up for the RL

Wonder how much further that ARB bumper will travel
I bought it just south of Chicago in spring of 2005
ran it on mine for almost 200,000 miles
Then you got it moved it a little more East
Now its living even further East
Wonder where it will end up:gr_grin:

Stripped the old finish off, ground down the rust, repainted with bedliner and installed the winch.

I thought I had a chance at a 2000 BMW 540i M-Sport 6speed in that fancy blue color, with sand beige interior. I missed it. I am sad. And no I wasn't getting rid of the Jeep.

Just ordered my cragar soft 8's at discount today. Supposed to come in, in about 4-5 days. Now to pound down the pinch welds before they come in. And hopefully I will be able to change out my power steering pump in the next couple weeks. This will be the 5th ps pump. At least advanced auto has a lifetime replacement guarantee on the ps pump.

Well the other day was out getting groceries and after I got them loaded in the car and pulled off heard a knocking noise above 3k rpms. Pulled over to check it out and was definitely coming from inside the engine.....sad days.

Going to throw it up on CL for $500 bucks probably and end of the month we'll be looking for a new car. Not sure if it'll be another KJ or not, waiting for the wife to decide what she wants. I liked the KJ though, was an awesome winter car lol.

All over
Saturday I changed out the front wheel hubs and the CV axles. It was a PA jeep, and while taken care of and has very little rust on it for being a PA car some places are just hard to get that salt out of and the hubs and axles were those places. The pass side CV axle came out with the intermediate shaft. Took several blows with a hammer on the old cv axle and lots of aero kroil to get that thing off. Cleaned everything up and installed the new hubs and axles, man it is nice to not hear that popping sound when I turn now!!

She drives smoother too. Next up is rear brakes and then some cosmetic stuff and I will be done... for a few weeks

Dude, swap in a low mileage engine for $2000 or so and save yourself a few thousand bucks a year. New cars these days run $400/month easy - that's 5 grand a year. Your KJ is a quick fix and will last you another 10 years or so.

I've been on both sides of this issue. Put a newer, low mileage engine in my KJ and also just bought my wife a new Jeep Renegade. Believe me - I know what a new car costs :emotions34:

I'm guessing the Advance pumps are probably not very good. Have you tried a Mopar one?
