Wash, wax, and cleaned the inside. I scrubbed the tires really well and realized that the letters on the side are white! 8-0

Replaced the blower resistor so position 1 works now (and we won't have to worry about it failing on vacation this summer!).

Was out on the road this week and first part of the week it was just dust from the country roads. Then it rained yesterday so lots of mud. So washed and waxed the KJ and the black beauty shines once again.

Was feeling industrious so decided to detail the engine bay too. I didn't take a pic today but it looks the same as this pic from last year:

This is the kit I used from JaxWax. Was recommended to me by Tom Mudd - great stuff!

Nice clean engine you have there. TwoBobsKJ
That's one thing i need to do sometime. For the moment my engine is little dirty.

Try the JaxWax motor cleaner and detail kit, works better and faster than anything else I have used over the last 40 plus years

(Yesterday)

Left South Carolina about 7:30pm after the memorial service. Planned to drive about 250 miles, then do the rest today. Made it through NC and the tiny sliver of VA I had to pass through, then started looking for a place to crash. No hotels in southern WV. No hotels in northern WV. No hotels in southern OH. At that point it was 2:30am and my Garmin said I was about three hours from home. I was exhausted as I had had only about two hours sleep the night before. I started sucking down the iced tea like it was my full time job and kept going. 6am I pulled into town and finally hit the sack. I was gone for about 60 hours total, covered 1200 miles (almost on the nose) and slept for about ten hours total over the space of three nights.

Time to change the oil on the Jeep this weekend. I could use some oil for my lower back, too.

That's a brutal trip - and the circumstances made it that much more challenging. :blah:

Glad you're home safely.

Sooooo... four bolts and it's out? I hope I never have to go looking for my heater core. At least I'll know I won't be done in an hour.
