It's a possibility, weird that it came back though. My fan started out not working in switch position 4, then it quit altogether. It was the resistor gone bad. I'd keep an eye on it, you can always jump a ground wire directly to the fan (what I did) as a temporary fix to make it run full speed.

She's good now. Got a dummy Code for a fuel pump relay too. Probably because I switched one out and was testing them. Cleared the codes took a 45 minute drive and still nothing. She's at LINE-X right now!

Today i found out my rear shocks were put on upside down. What could happen? Shaft/boot side is up and tube is down on mine.
which way do you have them on?

Boot(shaft) up, body down. I cant remember if letter on them was upside down as well.

They're on right, the rubber boot side is the top.

Had to get steering rack totally loose...

Wheel is off now a bit from rack work.
Will pay the $ 160+tx quote for Jeep Dealer to get the lifted KJ back into spec correctly.
Hopefully they can align it soon and then I will be :happy107:

I think I need to do my steering rack bushings. How bad of a job is it?
HJ Take a look while having someone turn the wheel back and forth 1/4 turn each direction quickly back & forth.
If you can see the tear where rubber is pushing out and you physically have upwards and side movement it is then time to do them.

I wont do it in driveway, much easier on a lift. Took shop 2 hours, to do only the drivers side.
You basically have to drop front skid & have the whole rack loose, pickle fork used, and turn it slightly to try to press out and press in bushing.
Got to be careful with the PS fittings etc. Getting bushing out can be difficult, not a lot of clearance there.
Many shops will tell ya the whole rack has to come out & that is not true, it can be done but hey.."it is no fun" :blah:

Gave it a good wash, then clay bar to get the crud off the paint, then black Meguire's wax to bring back the sparkle

Sounds nasty. There's a thread on here about a ghetto fix with some rubber washers, that might be what the doctor ordered:gr_grin:
If anyone has a rack with the driver's side bushing removed, please send me the top interior dimension.
I think I have a way to fix the movement in a real top fitting seal in hard plastic.
I should have taken the interior dimension while it was out.
Thanks to HJ on the ghetto reminder...this now comes to mind again.
