Also went to work on the pinch weld footwell area with an 8lb wood maul lol. Trying to gain a little more clearance.

Decided it was time to renew the joints in the tri-link. I had noticed a few months ago the rubber was starting to separate on the bushings.
I don't have a shop press, but after a couple attempts with my balljoint C-clamp tool, I could see the arm would be damaged long before the bushings gave up their grip.
After punching out the bushing cores with a hammer and chisel, I was able to slice the sleeve with a sawzall, relieving the interference fit. Then the sleeve came out much easier. I cut open the back, or 'cap' of the balljoint, and then its guts came out so I could do the sawzall trick on the remaining sleeve. I should note, the balljoint was still in good shape - uncontaminated and free of slop.
New bushings went in with my balljoint tool. Unfortunately the tool didn't have enough reach on the tri-link for the balljoint itself. Instead, it went in medieval-style with 5# hammer blows using a careful arrangement of makeshift dies and blocks of wood :gr_grin:
So about $60 CDN later, the arm has new joints. The stockers lasted 220,000km, so even half that life for the $$ spent will make me very happy. :winner_third_h4h:

When I think hockey , the only thing i think is hockey p ucks, as far as I can tell only reaso to have hockey is so we can have the pucks.

Yesterday I used it to raise a Wickerman, prepping for out summer solstice party in a few weeks

I still have the factory headlight bulbs in mine. Oddly the WK is on its second set and it's 4 years newer.
