While installing these parts, I also swapped to a salvage front 4.10 gear axle assembly, replaced rear driveshaft U-Joints, and rebuilt the front driveshaft transfer case joint. So some of these photos may show more disassembly than required for a lift only.

I rented a strut compressor from O'Reily's which disassembled my factory struts no problem.

Here you can see comparison of OME springs versus factory with 162,000 miles on them.

As you can see here the OME springs were just too bulky for the compressor kit, I got them compressed but then couldn't remove the compressor clamps, ended up having to take the parts to a local truck accessory shop and have them assemble the struts.

Here you can see the majority of the front components, JBA UCA's over JBA 1/4" top plates on OME struts and coils with JBA 3/8" clevis spacer and MOOG LBJ's

As you can see I have not installed the JBA extended rear bumpstops yet because I'm still waiting on my salvage axle to arrive with 4.10 gears and I will install the bump stops on it instead.

Definitely needs that alignment I have scheduled for tomorrow. Rides great with those OME's all the way around but drives like crap running one 3" wide section of tire for sure.

I have a set of 265/75/16 Nitto Trail Grapplers on the way for the 5 16"X8" MOAB's that I am having powder coated black so I think it will look awesome.

Looks great Wes! Good work on that front diff - not really too difficult, is it? The rear will be easier (though a lot heavier...)

And for the record: JBA's front spacer is 1/4" instead of 3/8". I'd love it if they were the thicker version to get that extra 1/4" of height ;)

3 per side all though I will likely remove one of them on each side of the read doesn't settle with my tool box installed because it's sitting a hair to high in the back for my taste I really need the back to sit at 22" even to be level with the front.

The front diff was not too hard to exchange and I actually found a way to remove and replace it without cutting any mounting bolts which is common practice, I'll post pics of that also.

As for the top plates, tom mudd explained that 1/4" spacers are as high as you can go without binding the cv's if you're using one 927's and 3/8" clevis spacers so that's why I went that route. On my previous KJ I ran 927's with a 3/8" boilers top plate but no clevis lift at all.

Yes tom, it worked pretty well, it takes some finesse but I got it in with no major issues. I'll post pics on another thread I'm planning on writing up once I get the rear installed but basically I removed all the bolts holding the from diff in except the two in the from backing up to the LCA, I did loosen those two what I could then I also removed the bolts holding the mounting plates to the front diff and was able to slide it to the left a little then down. Of course the front driveshaft was also removed.

Just letting you know - those are stock length shocks. Be careful...

I don't have a pic but I laid them out side by side and the OME's were significantly longer.

Thanks! I'm stoked about wheels and tires too! Be sure to post pics if you get into monster jam with the KJ! lol

Looking at your picks of the clevis to LCA mount. Looks like that bushing is shot. You could have gained another 1/4 to 3/8 in of lift if you replaced it.

Those bushings are a HUGE pain in the butt to replace. Ask me how I know... :emotions34:

Dang I didn't notice that til now, do you guys think if I changed the bushing I would need realignment?

I do have a pic.

I was topping them out for about 400 miles before I swapped to Bilsteins.

Well I ended up taking one of the rear iso's out to the get it to sit how I wanted. So that will help but screw Bilsteins, I ran them on my old KJ and my pickup and they both road terribly stiff. These ome ride like a firm cloud lol I like them much better. and they're no where near fully extended.
