Ball joint recall with lift?

Hey everyone, I've got to bring in my jeep to take care of the airbag recall etc. and figured I'd get them to see if the ball joint recall had been done on mine yet. Just wondering if they will actually honor the ball joint recall even though mine is lifted?

I don't see why not. A lift doesn't change the geometry of the LBJ.

How so? By changing the geometry of the upper ball joint? In which case if the Jeep is aligned then the LBJ goes back to a normal position. That's how I understand it.

Certainly does. Anything that causes height increase changes ball and socket relationship angles.

Ya it obviously does...I was multi-tasking earlier...I was thinking about UCAs and JBA how those bring the upper ball joint back to a reasonable angle. The LBJ would definitely be affected though. I'll just bring her in and see what they say.

Id say spend the $70 and get the Moogs installed. Easy to do, and 100x better than mopar

tombo they wouldnt do my ball joint recall with the lift.. i pressed in moogs and was dopne with it. i went to walker and tecumseh and they're a bunch of *****.

on the other hand just buy the JBA LCA UCA and be done with it.
