Wow 2.15! I thought I was lucky with the tank of 2.19 I got over near Randallstown.

Bob asked for it :ROFLJest:

I got gas in SC for $1.86 on Saturday. Today I'm near Munising Mi, fuel is 2.49 :(

I've put 3500 miles on her since the last oil change, oil looks good and is dead on the full line. 62 miles until 80k!

I think the Jeep likes it here in northern Michigan.

Is this about what we did to our KJs or what happened to our wallets at the pumps? ;)

My plates arrived in the mail today, along with some 19" Bosch ICON wiper blades. I installed the plates, the rear framed in billet aluminuminuminum, then swapped out the wiper blades.

I'm hoping this coming season will be the end of our 4-year drought and I will get plenty of snow to drive in. I took my first driving lesson in the snow behind the wheel of my aunt's 1929 Model A when I was in the 4th grade. I've enjoyed snow driving since then. Many years ago, our local CHP were mounting 4 studded mud & snows on their sedans to test their effectiveness. I decided to do the same on my Opel Manta Luxus that year. Ever since, I have never installed chains. Now that I'm driving a KJ, I don't think I'll even be doing studs.

Right now, I have to be satisfied with the little things. I'm concentrating on paying the Jeep off as quickly as I can. My lungs can't do a thorough wash & wax, so I'm having that done tomorrow in Reno.

Back in the 70s I ran all studed snow tires on my pickups all winter. I worked in and managed tire shops so had to get to work on " snow days" Worked great and yes some were just 2 wheel drive. With Duratracs on the KJ I have only had to use 4 wheel drive when snow is super deep or just to go where other idiots can't ,..................in the mall parking lot :happy175::happy175: and my friends know how often I am seen at a mall..........:icon_lol:

Here in chicago i have never had any problems i stay off the streets because of the people in their cars. Just head down alleys and back roads. I use a little extra gas being in being that they are unplowed untouched but its fun. The only risk i am taking is getting stuck which wont happen. I 2wd it until i get stuck then pop it in part time. Got to love select a trak.

since it says "what did you do to your JEEP" instead of Liberty lol... I fell over in mine while on a weekend Labor day off-road trip. Coming at if you could not see the drop at all and there was no markings. It just looked like a rocky area until it was to late. I was told the area has almost claimed many Jeeps.

Glad you're OK. All in all it could have been much worse.

CRAP! :favorites68:

First off, glad you're OK. Second, surprised there isn't more damage to the passenger side of your JK - must have landed just right, eh?

What fluids leaked out? Can't tell if that's oil or coolant; did you need a tow home or did you drive it?

Whew - bet you needed to change your shorts after that one :mexsmoke:

Gas here in NE Ohio dropped Tuesday to $1.94 for regular unleaded. Only cost me $30 to fill up yesterday :waytogo:

Transmission fluid mostly. Had to sit around for a while for some ATF+4 to be delivered. That was about it for fluids on the ground. Started right up and drove it out of the park and home. No CEL or smoke or anything.

Bought my crd a parts-mate. No title, no keys. Blown engine... "loss of power and big white cloud of smoke". I'm guessing blown head gasket. Going to prep it for moving today. Spare parts!
