ignition switch problems

ok so today i notice my ignition switch wont turn backwards and allow the radio to play . its the accessory position iirc. itll still crank the other way though. how do i fix this?

do i buy a replacement switch and key? is this a do it yourself type thing? i sure do miss my old 1970 truck when it comes to this lol. tell me its not going to be bad!

On mine you turn the key forward once for accessory.. All the way back is the lock position.

Yes you can replace it your self. It is at most a 5 minute job. First disconnect the battery, then unscrew the steering column trim, next unbolt the ignition switch using a security torque bit, unplug ignition switch and then to install the new one just follow my steps in reverse.
