Hi my name is Mike. I just took over my wife's 2004 liberty. I am looking forward to learning more about jeeps and making friends in here. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to set all the doors to unlock when the drivers door is opened? It was nice to have it on my car and am used to it now but the jeep doesn't do it. Thanks.<br/>

Do you have the digital overhead console where you turn the lights on above center of windshield? (electronic vehicle info center)
If yes you can refer to your owners manual ...
"Auto Unlock On Exit? (Available Only When the
AUTO DOOR LOCKS Feature is Turned On )
When this feature is selected all the vehicle’s doors will
unlock when the driver’s door is opened if the vehicle is
stopped and the transmission is in P (Park) or N (Neutral)
position. Pressing the STEP button when in this
display will select “Yes” or “No.”
Otherwise you can program the fob to unlock all with one push on key fob as well.
"The transmitter can be programmed to unlock
all the doors upon the first press of the 9Unlock9 button
(within 23–50 feet (7–15 meters) of the vehicle) by performing
the following procedure:
1. Press and hold the 9Unlock9 button on the transmitter.
2. Continue to hold the 9Unlock9 button, wait at least 4
but no longer than 10 seconds, then press the “Lock”
button.
3. Release both buttons.
4. Repeating steps 1–3 will restore original operation"
If you need the owners manual it can be down loaded here:
Jeep Owners | Download an Owners Manual 2004 - 2011 | Jeep
I also believe that if you do not have the info center that programming can be done by the dealer star scan OBD2 equipment, and possibly higher end scanners like a Snap On.
I will let others comment further on programming actions using other sources.
Hope this helps, Oh & welcome to the Forums! :party52:

Just be wary of your surroundings if you're in a dark parking lot. All the doors unlocking at the same time puts you in a more vulnerable position against the bad guys. For that reason, I only unlock the other doors when I need to. Hey, a bullet saved is a bullet saved! ;)

Thanks for the replies. I usually keep my lunch bag and jacket in the back seat when I go to work. I will just have to remember to hit the button to unlock the back doors.

It becomes habit after a while.
